A Voice for Families

The establishment of the Families Commission was due to the Confidence and Supply Agreement forged by United Future and the Government following the 2002 election.

The Families Commission is a funded family research body able to take the evidence they unearth and make policy recommendations to both the government and community sector. It monitors government policy and advocates on behalf of New Zealand families.
